Californian columnist Valerie Schultz came clean on something she did while holding a recent garage sale: She slapped an "annoyance tax" on people who, well, annoyed her.  It's safe to say she's not alone in this regard, whether the irritation from shoppers comes from a person's politics (Valerie's case), behavior, attitude or whatever. I like that she's come up with a catchy phrase for the practice.  What do you think? Have you ever charged an "annoyance tax" at your yard sales? If so, why?
