Reader: You reported a monument honoring Earl Warren is planned to be erected on the Bakersfield High School campus. Let's not allow history to be changed by putting wrong information on the monument. Through lack of research, misinformation or just plain ignorance, you reported Earl Warren graduated from Kern County High School. The name is incomplete. Earl Warren graduated from Kern County Union High School (KCUHS). Ask any alumni who graduated from high school in Bakersfield from the 1890s (when the school was chartered) to 1945 for the correct name of the high school.
