Q: I have noticed that there is a lot of activity in the empty lot at Olive Drive and Jewetta Avenue. The area is now fenced off and there is a lot of construction equipment going in and out. There are no signs posted. I was wondering what is going on. — Patrick Chapa A: Rite Aid Pharmacy has been proposed for one of nine buildings on about 101⁄2 acres. The development, owned by Olive and Jewetta L.P., will be a maximum of about 95,000 square feet, according to city of Bakersfield planning and building divisions.
