Are you sure you want to report the following content as a violation?
The Maher comment was widely covered on cable news channels at the time, as has Coulter's. While Maher was making a hypothetical argument (here for the original comment), Coulter was just being mean and vindictive. Maher's context was in a discussion about bloggers who wished Cheney had been killed by the terrorist bomb in Afghanistan. Coulter was just being mean to Edwards. As for the second letter writer (Chris Pavik), it is obvious that he didn't bother reading or viewing Maher's original statement, or observe any of the discussions about it in the following week. (I'm giving him the benefit of doubt, as opposed to calling him a liar.) Maher's comment was not make to be funny (even though he is a comedian). Coulter's comment was supposed to be funny (or so she claimed later), even though she isn't a comedian (which is debatable). The fact that Mr. Pavik uses the word "irony" but doesn't see the irony in his statements can either by "ironic" or...
