As hard as it is to lose a loved one, the holidays seem even harder without them. It takes a long time before one is able to go through Christmas and not be thinking "when Mom was here" or "when Dad was here", or a child no longer sharing the holiday. I've not lost a child but have lost both parents. Now, after all these years, I still think of them and miss them but no longer with that aching sense of loss. Peace will come, but in it's own time. I'm sorry for your loss and hope your peace will come soon.
