  Back in "the day" it was no big deal for a female teacher to "befriend" a male student. In fact, the boy who was lucky enough to earn close personal attention from his female teacher was revered by his envious peers. A guy who scored a teacher was thereafter considered an icon. A pleased father was proud that a son achieved such a highly regarded rite of passage and secretly wished he could get a little of the instruction for himself. Mother might roll her eyes disgustedly at both and the incident was relegated to the annals of family lore. There was no talk of sexual abuse. Pedophilia? You gotta be kidding! But conversely, if a male teacher even gazed appreciatively at the anatomy of an innocent female student he was deemed a lecher at best and soon might find himself at the very least unceremoniously drummed out of the corps. If he touched her he might be found growing from the old oak tree. ...
