The reason registered English Bulldogs are so expensive, is due to the fact that they are expensive to the breeder from birth to 8 weeks of age. 1. They have to be artificially inseminated. 2. Puppies have to be delivered by cesearean section. 3. Puppies have to be fed every 2 hours, (with the mother) and then taken away, or she will smother them. 3. Vet checked, shots and wormed. Very expensive. The English Bulldog has not really been bred to the point of a flat face, this is the way the breed has always been. English Bulldogs are expensive but well worth it as a pet for the family. They are good with kids and other animals. They do become part of the family, as most dogs do. I for one, go to the dog pound and adopt my dogs, I don't care for registered breeds either. I just feel sorry for this elderly woman as she puts alot of time and effort into these bulldog babies, she is not your typical breeder. She has actually kept some of her puppies that had problems, like a cleft...
