Are you sure you want to report the following content as a violation?
I own a house in the Westpark area that is very close to California Ave.  I have been following this story and have yet to find a map that indicates exactly what areas will be affected.  I feel that the council is deliberately vague on who will be affected.  I do feel that the Bakersfield streets are overcrowded with cars and something needs to be done.  The sad part of the Westpark plan is the people that will be displaced.  On the street that my house is located, all but 2 homes are occupied by retired people that have lived there for years.  Between the decline in property values and the major improvements that I have made, I stand to lose a substantial amount of money.  This was a retirement investment for me and could put a pinch on me later in life. After all that is said, I am for the project if it will ease traffic, especially at the rate the city is growing. I expect you all to boo me just like they did Ms Campbell
