Does calling in sick to attend an interview count? I've pulled that one with success. The interviewer called me at work to tell me I got the job! When I worked for a cheap born-out-of-wedlock (thought I was going to say "bastard," didn't you?) boss I left a folded paper showing a want ad page on my desk when I went home. Circled a few competitive jobs with red pen. Couldn't be missed. Later the next day, got told I am getting a raise. (Didn't last long, wasn't enough.)
