How do you misquote silence? BTW The voters in Weir's district do NOT speak for everyone in Kern County.   I don't care why they voted him in office; they should not have the only voice in Kern county on the fate of the bluffs.  The fact is, any natural resource which is a thing of beauty should and usually does belong to everyone.   The California coastline,  forested areas and wetlands were pillaged by a wealthy few until a moratorium was placed on private ownership of natural wonders. It's unfortunate, but some businessmen and their elected mouthpieces will always push legal and ethical boundaries unless they are kept in check by average people.
