bubble: Thanks for your input. I was beginning to think I was the only one who knew what a "Chinaman's chance" was. Gube: there is no doubt that Bush and company have their own agenda that does not include the approval of the American public. Immigration is just one issue on the list. This is why we have political campaigns and elections. The definition of marriage will decide the gay marriage issue. (Without marriage defined, I could marry my cat or have a harem of children.) Personally, I think the institution is a formality. If gays can have a legal civil union/partnership then so can cohabiting couples who don't want to bother with marriage. In that respect, I'm disappointed to see the marriage definition overturned.
