Note my caveat. With the most recent raids, it appears certain that the employers were the real lawbreakers, setting up phony documentation for the workers. If employers were prosecuted, there'd be no market for undocumented aliens. But they vote Republican, so they'll get off scot-free. And being an "illegal alien" is *STILL* similar in offense to failing to register your car on time. . Note what Audrey said: If they break the criminal law, they should be treated as criminals. But as a group, "illegal aliens" are more law-abiding than most segments of society.
