Actually guys, Dave Price does do the hiring for this position. The Kern County Animal Control Department is one of many departments under the umbrella of  the Kern County Resource Management Agency mega-department. Price runs RMA. He has been interviewing for the position for more than a month. I'm currently trying to get an update on this situation from him.
