California State University, Bakersfield’s School of Education will hold its fourth annual graduate student research symposium on Monday, May 19, at 6 p.m. in the Dezember Leadership Center on campus. Graduate students will present their research centered on the theme, “Ideas which will help teachers improve student achievement.” Additionally, 35 graduate students have identified the specific standards that are causing local K-12 students the most difficulty, and will present alternative lesson plans for teaching that content. K-12 public school teachers are encouraged to attend. The event is free and open to the public. Chevron Corp. will provide refreshments.
