Kaiser Permanente and Goodwill Industries Lend a “Green” Helping Hand
April 22, otherwise known as Earth Day, is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate than by participating in Kaiser Permanente’s second annual E-Waste Collection Day, held in partnership with Goodwill Industries.
Last year, Kern County raised over 19,000 tons of E-waste during the nine-hour E-waste drive – the most E-waste to be raised by Kaiser Permanente throughout Southern California.
What is E-waste you might ask? It is unusable, broken or outdated electronics, or anything that has a plug or uses batteries such as, broken, old and unusable computers, monitors, TV sets, digital cameras, cell phones, printers, fax machines, clocks, phones, radios and DVD/CD/VHS players.
By partnering with Goodwill, the community will be able to quickly and conveniently drop off their personal e-waste from home at our Goodwill-staffed...
