I have been Bakersfield.com's Community Content Coordinator since November 6, 2006. Since then, I have had the privilege to work with you to continue to build an online community here based on dialogue, varied interests, and, of course, our connection to this place. Our social networking tools--profiles, blogs, commenting, interest tags, friending, business reviews, and citizen journalism--built on our own homegrown software platform, have been getting better and stronger since their introduction on Bakersfield.com starting in the summer of 2006, because of your participation, constructive criticism, and suggestions.
