Hi, My name is Tony, and I was raised in Shafter. I graduated from Bakersfield College before joining the Navy for a four year enlistment. After my discharge, I graduated from Tennessee State Technical Institute at Memphis with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. As a follow up, I also earned a degree in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale Illinois. I've been a Mechanical Engineer in the Medical Device Industry since 1990 and really enjoy my career. I wasn't much of a student before my hitch in the Navy. I guess I hadn't found my way yet. I spent more time raising Hell, entertaining the ladies and trying to eek out a living than anything else. While in College, (after marriage and the Navy) something just clicked and everything began to fit. I'm still trying to figure out how to explain it. I'm one of those guys who went to College while working to support myself, so I guess you could say that I'm living proof that anyone...
