Hello! I'm an online product manager who specializes in social media, which is the idea that average people can and should do more than just consume media, but also produce and participate in it. I have 14 years of experience in this area at The Washington Post, Knight Ridder Tribune, America Online, and now The Bakersfield Californian, where I have worked since 2004. I started a little site called Bakotopia.com that you may be familiar with, and later we evolved that into a technology platform called Bakomatic which runs community features on this site and many others focused on Bakersfield. Bakomatic also runs large parts of AZCentral.com and Amp.az in Phoenix, Arizona.
