General inbox FAQ

What's the inbox?
The inbox is a place where you can see all your communications from other site users. You can read messages from users, be notified of new blog comments and guestbook entries. You can also see updates from all your online friends and send your own updates to friends.

How do I use it?
The inbox is already enabled for your account. When you log in, you'll be notified of any new content in your inbox. All you have to do is click the "Open My Inbox" link and you're in!

What kind of privacy options are available?
You can choose who can contact you, who can sign your guestbook, whose comments on your blog you don't want to see in your inbox, and who can see your Friend Updates. These options are available from the "Blocked Users" tab of your inbox.  For each of these options, you can choose the following: everybody, just your friends, or only registered site users.

You can also choose to exclude individual users from contacting you via the inbox.

Can I still get email notifications?
You can choose to receive notifications via email and/or in your inbox. To set your communication preferences, click the "Inbox Settings" tab of the inbox. Here you can choose whether to get a notification via email and the inbox, or turn off email notifications.
