I'm originally from Boston (still say 'pahk ya kah) can't help it and have been in Bakersfield since 1988.  I'm retired and a senior citizen.

...Ah yes, my picture...that's when I was younger than springtime. Turned a few heads in my days so let me bask in sweet memories 'cause now I look like 'who did it and ran'!

My last job was working for P.A.L. Police Activities League (great program for kids)

I'm into the arts and have been creative all my life and have family members who were in show business long ago.
I almost got signed up for Columbia records years ago, was a natural born singer (did I say records?  Wow, am I old!) But that's a long story, I still sing but now it's just for friends and I love creating cartoon characters.

I play piano (not terrifically) and would love to learn violin but my love is writing poetry, humor and serious articles.  I was a Golden Poet recipient for several years and wrote for a paper back east and occasionally free lance. 

My most valuable belonging is my Bible.  If there is a fire I'm grabbing that first.  And the most important thing in my life and anyone else's (in my opinion) is a belief in and a personal relationship with God.
I hope to be submitting poems and articles that will be enjoyed by my neighbors as well as I am looking forward to reading yours.
