About FreeStuff
The Bakersfield Californian newsroom receives tons of strange and cool stuff in the mail each year. We get everything from books to CDs to Root Beer Extract. (Seriously.)
This is your chance to get your hands on some of this loot. We will be giving away various items from time to time on this blog in regular 'contests.'
We will spell out the exact nature of the contest in each individual post, but here are some basic rules. (Because I’m not a lawyer I reserve the right to change these rules in case I forgot something.)
-You must be over 18 years old to win anything.
-Employees of The Bakersfield Californian are not eligible.
-Prizes will be left at the front desk of The Californian’s office at 1707 Eye Street in Bakersfield. We will not mail any prizes. You must make your own arrangements to have the item picked up.
-You will be contacted via email after the contest to give you details on retrieving your prize. You must have a valid email address or we will reclaim the prize.
-Prize will be kept at the front desk for one week and then will be reclaimed by The Californian.
