Bakersfield native who enjoys biking, skiing, camping and the desert.  Sunrise or sunset in the clear air of the desert can be breathtaking.

Execept for a few years in the 90's, I have lived here all of my life.  A graduate of Highland High, BC and Cal State University.  The town has changed over the years, but I still think its a great place to call home.  My family settled here from the Dust Bowl Days like many others in the valley.  I take great pride in my Okie and Cherokee roots and am very proud of what my parents achieved in their lives and how well they taught me to be a caring human being.

Been hard at work for the last three years converting a bus into an RV.  The project is nearing the point of completion, but I'm always tweaking something inside.  Except for the exterior paint, I have done all of the work myself.  I enjoy building things and woodworking and this has been a dream for sometime.  The diesel prices have slowed down travel, but the weekends I get a chance to get away in the bus are special.

Otherwise, just a simple homebody, going through the daily grind of work, sharing my life with my partner of nine years, a border collie, two fish, and a cat named George.  I'm not extremely opinionated, just fun loving with a sense of humor and enjoy the blogs like everyone else.
