About David L.
I'm an old fart. I am not sure how I got that way, I just woke up one day and it happened. I was born in Owensboro, Kentucky but crossed the Calefornia state line on my first birthday and I grew up in Arvin all of my life. In school I found out that Abe Lincoln was also from Kentucky and so I ran right home and ask my mother if she knew him? Without missing a beat, she said, "Why Lord yes, they lived right down tha road - I knew the whole family!" I was the proudest kid at school the next day, although my mother's back may have hurt a little more. I geocache, write stories (many of them true but some have alot of fluff), in addition, I am a sailor with my 26' MacGregor Trailer/sailboat, kite flyer, Christian, fisherman and have a very unique talent with Money Origami. The original Sloigo was my 73 Westfalia 3 cylinder Van, but now it is my sailboat and geocaching name. I am a member of the US Coast Guard Auxillary, US Power and Sail Squadran, and the San Jose Sailing Club. By profession, I am a construction inspector and live in the Hollister area, but I still own property in Bakersfield and come there quite often.

Thanks for the belly-laugh!! Since your Aunt Mae is my Grandma, and she lived with us for awhile when I was a child, I just cannot stop chuckling at the visual your story gives to me. LOL! Too Funny! ... and now as a Mom, I've learned where all the 'squeaky spots' in our floors are, so I am excellent at catching the 'right' child in the act of whatever they are getting into. :) MarthaS

Thanks for visiting my profile!! It's nice to meet you. I own (along with my brother and 3 of our closest friends and their spouses) own a Catalina 470 yacht. I haven't actually did any sailing since I was kid. I was bad at it then, so I'm sure I'll be bad now. I also own my own pontoon. My dad takes that out for fishing.
About the photos, I'm gathering them up, so that should be about another two weeks or so.
Chat with you soon.
