About WritersOfKern

We meet the 3rd Saturday of every month from 10-12:00 at the Clarion Hotel on Rosedale Hwy. (next door to Hungry Hunter and Costco).  Cost of meeting is $10, and the speaker changes every month. We host speakers from the writing community who can offer unique insight into the writing process, publication, research, and information covering multiple genres.

In March, we hold a Writers Workshop!  Stay tuned for more information.

Who are we?

BAKERSFIELD WRITERS OF KERN-- A BRANCH OF CALIFORNIA WRITERS CLUB

Writers of Kern is one of fourteen branches of the California Writers Club. CWC was started by Jack London and fellow writers for the purpose of helping aspiring authors and socializing with other authors.

The Writers of Kern was formed to bring together professional writers and aspiring writers in a creative atmosphere. Published writers share their knowledge and skills through critique groups, at general meetings and during conferences and workshops.
