About STEPHEN
My wife Joyce Hulen and I live in the Oleander Sunset district in a Clarence Cullimore adobe house built in 1935. I work as a railroad freight conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad. I'm the safety and legislative officer in Local 835, United Transportation Union. I serve on the Keep Bakersfield Beautiful Committee representing Council Ward 2. I'm also a member of the Sierra Club, the American Motorcyclist Association, the Avanti Owners Association and other organizations. I support Valley Public Radio. My interests include history, classical music, architecture, urban planning and art. I'm dedicated to making Bakersfield a better place to live and promoting our city to others.
