About deedeemay80
I am a senior citizen looking to move to the Bakersfield area in the near future. Are there any other seniors out there that know of any subsidized Senior Apartments? I'd appreciate any help. deedee80
I have a good sense of humor. I love people. I have so many kids and grandkids, and great grandkids, that I feel like the "Old lady who lived in a shoe. She had so many kids she didn't know what to do." Well, I know what to do and I do it (most of the time) I leave them alone and they come home dragging their tails behind them. :):):)
I have some very talented kids, and so do they.
I'll give you more as I go along. I have to take a break.

deedeemay80-Thanks for the kind note. I was glad to be able to participate in the CF walk. It was a great success. You can read more about it in my blog if you haven't done so already. Its sad that people (especially young kids and teenagers) have to deal with such horrifying disorders and diseases. It makes me glad I don't have any serious health problems. By the way, I also took a nearly 5 mile (each way-about 10 miles roundtrip + an extra detour of about 2 more miles down our local bike path to The Park at Riverwalk-a nice local park that was the site of the aforementioned CF walk on April 12) bike ride from my house in the Northwest part of Bakersfield to Relay for Life (held at California State University Bakersfield) today. I wasn't on a team for that, I just went and checked out all the festivities. I bought a luminaria in honor of my grandma who died of cancer 10 years ago and gave a $5 donation to the American Cancer Society and also purchased a cup of tea and other goodies there, too. I couldn't go to the luminaria ceremony because it was too dark and I don't have a headlight on my bike (I won't ride at night on these roads anyway!). I stayed out there for about 2 hours or so. I was only able to donate about $23 (my donating funds were pretty strapped after the CF walk), but I was glad I was able to give that $23 to the ACS. What is fibromyalgia? Just curious. Thanks again for the kind note. bryanjackson
