I am left of center politically committed to change the system from within to a more compassionate society based on the inherent worth of every human being rather than the bottom line of corporate interests. Ideally socialistic, but fully aware of the human rights abuses that can occur during powerful state control from the top, regardless of what side of the political spectrum it may fall. I truly enjoy engaging in intellectual discussion, but also celebrate the truly unique artistic and creative enterprises (film, theatre, literature, music, fine arts) that elevate us from being merely economic cogs of the system.
