About motopoet
I was born in Bakersfield and raised in Tehachapi. I moved back here in 1993 when I was 33 yrs old. I am currently separated and have four daughters and three grandsons. I am former motocross racer and am, once again, riding the dirt as well hitting the pavement on my newly rebuilt Harley. I prefer long trips on the bike over local stuff. I have travelled in the USA extensively both in the cars and on the bike. I enjoy history(WW II in particular), aviation, astronomy, writing, reading, guitar and a few other things as well. I have worked in the signal dept for UP(formerly SP)since 1979. I enjoy sharp conversation, good debates based in fact rather than opinion, but also like getting into it with people about opinions! I like to laugh and to make people laugh and I like to be informed. Feel free to engage me anytime!

As a resident of Madera how nice of you to plug the Madera Valley Inn as I know they try to go the extra mile for their customers. Being away from home is difficult for most people so it sure helps to find a place to stay that tries to see that all of your needs are taken care of to make your stay as nice as possible. I am sure that when you do go home to your children and girlfriend the hardship of being away from home soon fades. I must say that you write beautifully and I truly enjoyed reading all of your blogs.
