I knew and admired Cherie Currie through Jr. High and part of high school, even asked her out once, but she thought I was joking and laughed it off, I was heart was broken. Like Hank Willaim's song...I can't help it if I'm still in love with you. I had a channce to be in the movie as an extra but couldn't get off work. Currie was married to actor Robert Hays in the 1990s and they have one son. They are now divorced.^{[citation needed]}
