Covenant Community Services is a non-profit organization that provides services and opportunities to reach abused and neglegted children and families. This Thanksgiving we are teaming up with Albertsons to provide turkey dinners for these special people. When you shop at the following Albertsons you can donate $1 or $5 and it will go towards a turkey basket for these families. This class is designed for those who are looking for a "just the facts" overview of Metaphysics. Students will learn the basic principles of both traditional, and neo-beliefs, as well as basic principles of meditation, healing, divination, raising one's vibration, and establishing a personal spiritual practice.

About Maggie:

Maggie Tomaino currently teaches and offers private sessions in and around the Western US.
A natural healer, and psychic, having been blessed with the gifts of clairaudience, (clear hearing), clairsentience, (clear feeling) , and clairvoyance, (clear sight). She has been working with her gifts since childhood. This, coupled with a life long curiosity and love of learning and study, Maggie spent many years of her childhood in Alaska studying the mystical, as well as traditional beliefs, of all peoples living there.
People of Native, European, Asian, and Middle Eastern decent; her childhood home of Anchorage was a melting pot of people and cultures.
Maggie has also studied biomechanics, advanced Pilates techniques, Cranio-sacral Therapy, as well as several other somatic release therapies.
Considering herself a life long student, Maggie continues her diverse studies, She is currently a Doctoral candidate in Religion.
After many years of study, Maggie was called to do the work of a healer, as well as a spiritual counselor, teacher, and author. Her hands-on energetic healing technique, has helped many people achieve a level of health and wellness never thought possible. She employs a "plain speak" manner in her classes, and readings, blended with optimism and humor, her accuracy, and advice are always from the Source, through the Heart.
Maggie founded the Guided Work Group in 2009, a loosely organized group of very talented psychics, healers, artists, and teachers, who seek to enlighten themselves, and be of assistance to others also on their own path.

Art Night

Art night is for the curious individual with the desire to create. Whether you haven't used a paintbrush in years or were always afraid to try oil pastels, this could be the creative outlet for you. Art night is time to escape and take a journey to explore different mediums and variety of ways of creating art. Learn to create your own meditation tools by simply enjoying the process of creation. Simple exercises will be introduced week to encourage personal growth and understanding of ones self. Each week we will concentrate on personal work as well as a group project. Time is set aside each week for personal reflection and sharing. Each class is ended with a challenge to continue to encourage the newly awakened artist within you. I hope to create a positive and supportive atmosphere where you may feel relaxed and comfortable to allow yourself to let go and create. I invite you to come join and share the adventures to the journey within.
Class 1 November 10th- "Introduction to art materials and different mediums."

Wiccan Wednesday-Is a class for any one who is a beginner or just interested in learning about the Wiccan Path. This class will be ongoing beginning July 1st and held every week on Wednesday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. This class will be geared toward a 101 style. We will be covering every thing from history, philosophy, and the ethics of cultural appropriation, to meditation, energy, types of magical practice, tips, and tools.

A little about Derek:

Hail and welcome! I am Derek Wrigley, the newest healer at the Enchanted Cottage. My spiritual path is that of Shamanic Wicca.
I moved to Bakersfield in October of '07 to start a new life with the most wonderfully magical woman a man could ever hope to share life with. I was raised in the small lumber town of Roseburg Oregon. I spent much of my youth outdoors and the wilderness is my second home. I took my first class in core shamanism with Christina Pratt way back when I was in Junior High. It was also at that time I was introduced to Taoism. By the time I graduated from high school I had studied with a Taoist Mystic and philosopher Bill Horden author of "The Tao of Cool", had a 2nd degree in Reiki, spoke two foreign languages and had a 2nd degree black belt in Tang Soo Do. By the time I was 23 I was married and nationally certified as a Licensed Massage Therapist in Oregon. I had a very successful practice. Ten years, two wonderful kids, and a divorce (thank the goddess) later, I moved here. Needing to repair spiritually the damage done by my marrige, I found wicca. I have been on the wiccan path for several years now. I am currently attending B.C. and working toward a Nursing Degree.
