Dine at Just Wing It tonight and help mend a life in Haiti

Local business owner to donate during difficult economic times

(American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund)

Local Bakersfield business owner, G Riar, owner of Just Wing It, The UPS Stores in downtown and the Town and Country shopping center will be donating 50% of the net proceeds (or a minimum of $2000) during the month of February to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund. Each participating location will also be collecting personal donations as well. As a local business owner for five (5) years, Riar says, “even though difficult economic times are upon us, I want to help the earthquake victims, however I can. It breaks my heart to see families, especially children torn apart by this tragedy as they are left without shelter, food and clothing. Our goal is contribute as much as we can help the Haiti Relief Fund.”

Carole Evans from the American Red Cross of the Kern Chapter says, “the donation will help with short-term aid such as food, shelter, medical needs and will help provide clean water. Our mission is to provide Haiti with long term recovery and rebuilding efforts.” The American Red Cross has also teamed up with local Red Cross to provide integrated help to all the victim.

Just Wing It, serves wings in twelve (12) different flavors including original, Cajun, and garlic parmesan. They also have a variety of salads and wraps along with combo meals.

Riar’s other businesses participating will be The UPS Stores located at 8200 Stockdale Highway in the Town and Country Shopping Center and the 1201 24^th Street location located in downtown Bakersfield.
