Be Creative @ your library! Express yourself @ your library!
Flowers from duct tape! Puppets! Human Bingo! Creating scrapbooks! Merry Maskmaking! Rainmakers! All this and more at the Baker Branch Library, 1400 Baker Street, Bakersfield. Free programs for youth every Saturday at 3:15 p.m. (except the Fourth of July), beginning June 13.
Children and teens may sign up now for the Kern County Summer Reading program which continues through July 25. All youth reading 10 books will be awarded a free book courtesy of the Friends of the Kern County Library, Inc., a free hockey ticket, courtesy of the Condors, and other surprises, as supplies last.
Join us for merry mask making Saturday June 13; design rainmakers Saturday July 20; create a scrapbook June 27; construct duct tape flowers July 11; play Human Bingo July 18, and enjoy the Omnipresent Puppet Theater’s presentation, “Beyong the Heap: a trash to treasure tale” at Baker Library on July 25.
