Drive by Jastro Park after the water is shut off.

What will you see?

Trash everywhere, with grocery bags, empty cups, paper plates, and  diapers scattered all over the grassy areas adjacent to the play area.

Drive by at 5:00 and see bumper to bumper people and cars . Cars and trucks were parked all the way around the park, down 17th street on both sides. Beech was crowded as well. A lowrider truck club had met and the custom doors were pointed skyward.

I am glad I don't live across or near the park.

Aren't neighborhood parks just that? For the people from the neighborhood?

Most of the people using the park do not live in the neighborhood. How do I know?

Neighbors can walk. The majority of the users have driven many miles to get here.

How do I know? 20 years of living in the neighborhood has made me familiar with the demographics.

If this is going to work, park users need to pick up trash.

Second,  why not put spray facililties in at Hart Park, where there is more parking and no impact on surrounding neighborhoods.
