The Bakersfield Keynotes are inviting all interested adult women to join us in song.  We perform two local concerts per year and at the California Women's Chorus Convention.  We also perform for local groups and organizations from time to time.

Our practices are on Tuesdays, beginning at 6:30 p.m. and are temporarily at Northminster Presbyterian Church on Union Avenue across from the old Maitia's building.  If you like singing all kinds of music, please join us.

We are a non-profit organization, originally founded in 1932.  We have continued through to 2009, after having helped found the California Women's Chorus in 1970.  We give music scholarships each year to local students entering college in the hopes that they will in turn serve our communities in the future.

We would be happy to perform for groups as part of your holiday programs or general meetings.  Please contact our director, Beth Downie at 661-332-5830 or our president, Sheila Morrison at 661-392-1505

Hi Beth or Sheila, I have been a member of GOLDENAIRES for 5 years now ... and your ad is almost identical to what I have been posting. We are a chorale of men and women about 30 in # right now (we need more). We are starting our new season Wed. Sept. 9th, 3 pm, in the meeting hall of the Church of the Brethren on the corner of Palm and 'A' streets. Our Director is Phil Witmer (who also directs the Bakersfield Masterworks Chorale!!). We are a fun-loving group of mostly seniors, but all ages are welcome. Would you like to come as a group and meld with us? Just a thought. Or come and visit. :-) Yours in song, Audrey Barger (Treasurer -- Goldenaires) 661-397-7562
