  I purchased a sectional couch on August 31st and picked it up Tuesday September 1st for $1450.00 at the Furniture Center on White Lane.  It wasn't until Friday night that I noticed the metal underneath the recliner was rubbing against the side of the couch and ripping the mesh fabric underneath.  I called Saturday morning to notify them of the problem and they replaced it with another piece that I picked up.  Before we took it into the house we tested it and this piece was too broken and would not even open all the way.  I called to tell them it was broken and that I wanted to return it because it was obviously of poor quality.  We took the sectional down to the store in the trailer and they preceeded to tell me that they would not take it back. We then told Dave (the manager) we were calling BPD out and he said fine and gave us the number right of the top of his head. He obviously has dealt with this before. The cop arrived a knew what the salesmen was trying to rip us off. He then told me I was sold a floor model which I was never notified of.  I would not have paid 1,450 for a floor model couch.  When I told him the salesmen never told me that all he said was that the salesmen pulled a fast one on me then.  The only solution we could come up with is that I would leave the broken sectional there and he would order a new couch for me and not open the wrapping until I was there and then if there is a problem with that one he will order another one. He didn't even want to keep the broken couch there that we already had loaded up.  He wanted me to take it home put it back in my house reload it and bring it back when he got the new one in.  That is when the cop intervened because he knew that was weird and that he would probably say we damaged it when we brought it back.  He was supposed to call me back on Wednesday the 9th or Thursday the 10th, but I have still not heard anything from them.  The point is that this company is selling furniture that they swear by when making the sale, but will not swear by it after you take it home. I am still out $1,450, do not have a couch and have not heard back from this store. I found other reviews from this store and ALL of them have been people with the same bad experience that I had.   I don't want anyone else to walk into a huge furniture store get told by a nice salesmen how great and how many of these products they sale and then get ripped off.  The BBB even had a complaint on their website about them and gives the store a C- grade.
