There is no doubt that changes are needed in the Kern High School District.  One such change can't come soon enough -- the expulsion of Ken Mettler.  As a neo-conservative that only cares about his own political future Mettler has done enough damage to the teachers and students of the Kern High School District.   It's time for Mettler to be expelled. 

The KHSD deserves to have trustees who will honor and work with the teachers and students to bring out the very best of both.  Mettler instead works to undermine the efforts of those who shape and mold the young minds for tomorrow.  Now he wants to take his draconian ideology to Sacramento to create even more hardships for our teachers. 

It's bad enough that teachers are underpaid, under-staffed, unappreciated for the time and efforts they put into trying to meet the outlandish demands placed on them by those like Mettler who sit in their ivory towers and dictate how they are to teach.

There needs to be a policy change for the KHSD that states no trustee will use their position for political gain.   It sure would help put the focus back where it needs to be--on our kids and the teachers who instruct them.  A trustee's time and efforts must be about those they serve and not their own political agenda.   If we want to have a productive and prosperous society then we have to elect those who will ensure that the teachers and students are given everything they need to succeed.  Mettler's actions as a politician has shown he can't be trusted to ensure the best interests of the teachers and students--only his own. 

Gee whiz guys, Ken is against gay marriage and likes to beat up anyone who doesn't share his views on the subject. (Even though the Kern High School District has a zero toleration policy concerning fisticuffs). And he really believes in having God signs in all the schools. And he knows for sure that Obama is out to get all of us one way or another.Folks Ken baby is really the spirit of Kern County. Please lets not be so nasty to him. We need him to fight for what's right against the Godless,atheistic, liberal,homosexual, communist, socialist, Nazi forces that are threatening to take over Kern County (and America) by force. So please don't pick on him.He is in there doing it for all of us. I would write more about Ken, but I have to hurry and go buy three or four new guns before the liberals take them all away from us.
