CSUB barbecue and carnival to benefit those in need

California State University, Bakersfield's Theta Chi fraternity will hold a barbecue and carnival on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 1 to 7 p.m. in Runner Park, located on the northeast part of campus. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Bakersfield Homeless Center. Admission to the carnival is $5.00 per person and free for children under the age of 10. The fraternity hopes to raise $5,000 for the homeless center.
The carnival will feature many family-friendly activities, including an inflatable boxing ring, hen house golf, bounce houses and pony rides. The barbecue will be provided by El Adobe Restaurant.
