Italian Heritage Dante Association to host “A Night in Italy”

Are you in search of a romantic and elegant dining experience for yourself and that someone special — in an elegant setting, under the stars? The Italian Heritage Dante Association is planning a delightful Italian evening for your pleasure. Imagine dining under the stars, in a lovely garden filled with twinkling lights, enjoying a glass of fine wine with your sumptuous dinner, and dancing with your loved one to the big band sounds of the Dante’s Ken Bausano and his Orchestra del Valle.

On Saturday, May 19, the Italian Heritage Dante Association will host the 27th annual Una Sera Italiana — A Night in Italy — in the Association’s Italian Gardens, at 4415 Wilson Road. The evening is a well-attended event celebrating the flavors and culture of Italy through music, dance and excellent Italian food. The public is invited to enjoy this fine, casual-dressy affair, which starts with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m., offering an impressive array of antipasti (appetizers), prepared by Chef Gino Valpredo of Luigi’s Italian Restaurant and Delicatessen, and is followed by a luscious feast at 7 p.m., featuring Gino’s expert cuisine: Pasta, vegetable, filet mignon, salad, French roll or bread, and dessert.

The Italian Heritage Dante Association was created in 1969 to provide a means to continue with the preservation of Italian culture and the traditions of those who have contributed so much to our community. Proceeds of the evening will benefit the Italian Heritage Foundation.
