Graduation speech
Good Evening everyone and welcome to the graduation for the class of 2007.
Tonight is a turning point in our lives. We have struggled through four long years together to make it to this stadium. -- to wear these ridiculous looking caps and gowns as our families watch us proudly. However, tonight is more than just a ceremony, It is the closing to a dramatic chapter in our lives, and the opening to a new and exciting story yet to be written.
I personally want to thank all of the teachers and faculty of North High. With their incredible intelligence and creativity, they have spent the last four years of their lives skillfully and meticulously crafting us into mature young adults —Well….. Some of us more than others.
Lastly, I want to express how proud I am of myself, my friends, and everyone else up on this stage. I hope we all enjoy the rest of our night, and especially the rest of our lives. I leave you with this. Author Michael Konda once said…
“The fastest way to succeed in life is to look as if you are playing by somebody else’s rules, while quietly playing by your own.”
Thank you and Congratulations class of 2007
