The NAACP.

The oldest and arguably the most important civil rights organization in the United States has disappointed me yet again.

The Atlanta chapter prez thinks and actually said out loud at a news conference, that Michael Vick is getting more negative press than if he had killed a person...a human being.

Go ahead and re-read that passage.

Michael Vick, if you believe the pre doggy press, apparently came up the rough side of the mountain to become the highest paid QB in the NFL. Good for him. Didn't really contribute to society, but not every one does so he shouldn't be dinged for that. He wanted to "keep it real" and maintain his "street cred", so he decided to keep people (hanger ons) around him and straddle the fence between the 'hood and Madison Ave. See how that worked out for him?

What the NAACP needs to understand is that sometimes Black people commit crimes. O.J., Kobe, Tyson.  Sometimes Black people make bad decisions and have to pay the consequences for those decisions. NOT O.J., Kobe.

It's only negative press coverage because the act that he will plead guilty to is NEGATIVE!!!

No one was dragging Michael Vick through the mud when he was making Nike or Gatorage commercials. So to now say that he is getting more negative press than if he had killed a  human being is absurd.

There is a segment of society that will play the race card on this, because they hate just for the sake of hating, but they would be wrong.

Just like the NAACP.
