On December 1st, 2007, St. Francis Parish hosted a wine and cheese party. The event was well attended with a Silent Auction and Raffling to benefit the St. Faustina Maternity Home.
St. Faustina provides a safe haven for young women who are pregnant and have little supportive from their family or partners. They stay at the home before and after their delivery. The “house parents” are Jerry and Joanne Todd and they have been outstanding and resourceful. In addition to the sanctuary, Jerry and Joanne also provide guidance for the young mothers and their babies. The home is entirely funded by donations from the community.
In just its first year, St. Faustina has been able to help nine new mothers, who otherwise have little other options. If you were unable to attend, but you want to help, you can still make a contribution. Please make check payable to "St. Faustina's Home" and send your contribution to:
