This is Scooter. Scooter is a spayed female, Border Collie mix. She is approximately 11 months old. She enjoys being outside, going for long walks and playing with people and toys. She would make wonderful pet for a family with children over the age of 7.
Scooter is currently available for adoption at the Bakersfield shelter location at 201 S Mt. Vernon Avenue. The adoption fee is only $75. The $75 adoption fee includes a DHLPP and bordatella vaccination, a rabies vaccination, a one-year Kern County license, and while supplies last, an adoption gift bag and a leash. Each dog adopted from the Kern County Animal Shelter also receives a voucher for a free veterinary examination.

Please mention Scooter's ID number when you call – 706736. The adoption center is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm, and Wednesdays from 2 pm to 7 pm. Kern County Animal Control encourages anyone interested in adopting Scooter to come down to the shelter and spend some time with her in their “doggie play” area.
