During my lowest moments, my mom continues to have faith for the both of us and will not let me give up. She is constantly keeping my spirits high and giving me hope that it will all be ok, and somehow I believe she is right. I really do not want to go into a lot of detail but let's just say I was living up in Lake Isabella when my boyfriend of four years up and decided to kick me and my daughter out. We had nothing hardly at all and my mother got us back to Bakersfield, paid to get us a place to live, and right now is helping me try to get my car registered so I can drive it to appointments and such. I have had a really hard time especially now with my sickness and am not doing so well. I am about to give up completely, but she will not let me. I love her so much…
She and my dad divorced when I was 12 years old and she worked at the phone company. Working a variety of shifts, she still made sure my sister and I were taken care of. She taught me there is hope and love in my life when I believed there was none left. To this date, she continues to take care of my 94-year-old grandpa as well as every member of our family.
I just wanted to let her know how much she means to me and how much I appreciate her for choosing me when she did not have to, and for making me feel like I was a real person.
There are only two good things that happened in my life, my daughter Jillian and my mom. Thank you for everything and just being you. You will always remain my hero. With Love, Darah
