I have to say this is my favorite beach to get to. It isn't a surfers or water babbie place to go but if you love to walk on the beach and soak up the sun while enjoying the quiet this is the place for you!

It is away from the crowded spots like Pismo or Morro Bay but just a quick drive back to town.

My family has been going there for years now but unfortunately our great Governor wants to close it due to budget cuts...

We were there last weekend and were graced with a dolphin! I have never seen one there in all the years before, it was awesome.

So if you ever want to just get out of Bakersfield and go for a drive you should think about Montana De Oro.You'll be glad you did.

The park is six miles southwest of Morro bay and seven miles south of Los Osos on Pecho Road.

Yeah, I love this place too. Great place to camp and just sit and stare at the ocean. I hope it gets to stay open!

What a great place! The camp ground also has access to some realy good bike trails aswell as the costal access. It really would be sad to see it closed.
