A special invitation is being issued to all survivors, friends and families of the Class of 1937 of Kern County Union High School. This will be the 71st Reunion. Survivors of the Class of '37 are gathering for this historic reunion on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Woolgrowers Restaurant at 620 E. 19th St., Bakersfield.
"A hospitality period will kick off festivies at 11:30 a.m. with a family-style lunch at noon," according to publicity chairman James Radoumis.
Special recognition will be accorded to Dr. Romain Clerou, earlier KCUHS graduate, who has served the Kern County medical community over a span of seven decades.
The reunion planning committee is comprised of John Boydstun, chair; Catherine Curran Heisey, Bill Curran, Dick Heber, James Radoumis, Marjorie Weringer Gillette, Mary Cremer Tucker, Hazel Morton Rees, and Dean West.
According to Boydstun, Catherine and Walt Heisey have graciously offered their home through the years to plan the Class of '37 reunions.
