Ride with the Slow Spokes

My favorite outdoor activity is a Saturday morning bike ride with the bicycle riding group called "Slow Spokes." Last Saturday's Slow Spokes ride was particularly scenic because we started in Caliente and rode to Twin Oaks and back. To find a Slow Spokes ride go to the Kern Wheelmen Web site at www.kernwheelmen.org. Click on "Rides" and look for rides led by Richard and Jo Stewart.

Saturday, April 5, 8 a.m., North Rosedale Park, 20 miles, flat terrain, slow pace (8 to 10 mph)

RIDE Shell Station
START North Rosedale Park
PEDAL 8:00 a.m.
RETURN 11:00 a.m.
ROUTE Jewetta, Olive/Kratzmier, Enos Lane, Shell Station, 7th Standard, Zerker, Snow, Jewetta
