Local gymnasts compete in Nevada

10 boys from American Academy gymnastics team competed this month at the 2008 Region 1 Men's Gymnastics Championships in Reno, Nevada. Boys from California, Nevada, Arizona, and Hawaii competed. Only the top finishers from the State competitions qualifed for the Regional Competition.
Coached by Tom Ladman, the following boys competed: Level 10: Corey Esquivias, Kyle Dahl, and Michael Lostaunau; Level 9: Dusten Pettibone; Level 8: Weston Petterson; Level 6: Tyler Padgett; Level 5: John Fulce, Michael LaRochelle, Spencer Raddatz and Benjamin Walker.
Notable finishers included:
Pettibone, P Bars - 10th place
Peterson, Hi Bar - 7th place
Padgett, Rings - 1st place, Pommel - 2nd place
LaRochelle, Hi Bar - 4th place, All Around - 10th place
Fulce, Rings - 7th place, Vault - 9th place, P Bars - 4th place, Hi Bar - 5th place, All Around - 6th place
