My father, Jay Kessler, was one of the first people drafted in Delano in WWII.
This postal telegram originating in Goodfellows Field, Texas, was sent to his mother, Linnie Kessler (my grandmother), while he was in training to be a small arms repairman.
Although there is no date on the telegram, it would have been in early 1942.
