Fred L. Thompson Junior High has been awarded an honorable mention in the 2008 Yearbook/Yearbook.
Each year, Taylor publishing company, a leader in yearbook publishing, honors less than ten percent of yearbooks published in the United States with this recognition. Featured yearbooks are selected by an independent panel of judges who look at design, photography, writing and covers.
Thompson Junior High was the only Junior High yearbook in Bakersfield honored with this award this school year. The yearbook instructor at Thompson is Marie Houston, and the editor for the 2007-2008 yearbook was Lauren Cline, whose mother passed away in the middle of the school year. Lauren persevered and led her staff to create this award winning yearbook.
Congratulations to Fred L. Thompson Junior High and their excellent yearbook staff. Yearbooks are memories!
