Hello Bakersfield,

I am still new to the area, but i am some what dissatisfied with the town and am starting to regret moving here. Since i have been here, My husbands car has been stolen, which was an inheritance from his passed grandfather. Right out infront of our apartment. My friends car got stolen, My car got broken into. I am not the kind of person tha buys expensive things, this first time i did, some stupid jerk had to go and ruin it...WHat happened? i got screwed...I was paid barely enough by my insurance company to cover the rear window. We have called the police about it, numerous times but they continue to disregaurd the fact that the residents feel unsafe. I cant even go one week with out hearing about someone getting hurt, or a car alarm going off. I found out last week that a woman in my complex was nearly raped while doing her laundry. What can be done about this? the neighborhood watch is only four people...

Its to the point where you dont want your children to go outside, your afraid to walk out of your apartment, or even to go do laundry! What is the deal about these stupid people? why must they steal things that others work so hard to have? Let alone our only car? And BPD had done  NOTHING to find this car...
very very very dissapointing town to live in.
